90-Second Newbery

October 12 at 6:30 p.m.

The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival Returns to Treehouse!

Treehouse Museum is please to welcome back award-winning author James Kennedy on Friday, October 12 at 6:30 p.m.

James will show some of the outstanding past films of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival  and we promise you’ll be laughing and loving them these short movies. James will explain how families can create their own videos to enter in the 2019 Festival. The goal of the 90-Second Festival is to encourage young film-makers to make movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery-winning books in a very short format, and the results are hysterical and entertaining.

James is the founder of the Festival and the author of the popular young-adult fantasy “The Order of Odd-Fish.”

The deadline for the 2019 Festival is January 11. Please click here to visit the Festival's homepage where you can see some example videos and read more about the rules and details.

No one from Utah has ever be featured in the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival and we think it’s time to change that.
