Know Before You Go (FAQs)

  • May I drop my children off at Treehouse? No. All children age 1-17 years must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
  • May I visit without any children? Yes, with prior arrangements. For the security of our young visitors and for the best visit, adults must be accompanied by a child age 1-12 yrs. However, adults, including disabled adults, can be accommodated by calling 801-394-9663 to arrange a tour or a visit.
  • May I bring my stroller inside? Strollers are not permitted on the exhibit floor and must be parked in the stroller parking area off our lobby. This is due to space constraints in the exhibits and to maintain wheelchair accessibility. Exceptions are made in the cases of twins, sleeping babies, and medical conditions. Just speak to the Cashier at our Welcome Desk about your needs.
  • Does Treehouse accept checks?  Treehouse does not accept personal checks for admission, memberships, events, Treasure Shop purchases, or birthday parties. Treehouse gladly accepts cash or Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards.
  • Is the Museum wheelchair accessible? Yes. All exhibits are accessible by wheelchair, except for the upper deck of the Treehouse. There is an observation landing at the top of the tree. Treehouse has an elevator to the second level.
  • May we eat our lunch in the Museum? No food or drink is permitted on the exhibit floor. This is part of our effort to keep Treehouse a clean facility for families and schools. Families are welcome to eat a quick snack in our lobby area where we have a bench. A number of restaurants in the Junction are within walking distance of Treehouse and have children’s menus.
  • May we open birthday gifts inside the Museum? Treehouse offers birthday packages, which includes use of the party room for gifts and treats. Because of this, no unscheduled birthday parties may use Museum spaces for refreshments or gift opening. Learn more about Treehouse Birthday Parties.
  • How long does my admission last? Regular Treehouse admission is valid all day — just hang on to your receipt if you plan to come and go. You can also use your admission payment toward a membership to Treehouse  if purchased on the same day of your visit.
